3D X-ray and Intraoral Scanner
At the Jakolitsch Dental Practice, we strongly emphasize digitized processes. Digital dentistry provides patients with more precision and higher safety due to digital preplanning.
CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) – 3D X-ray
We are among the few dental practices that offer their patients 3D X-ray imaging. This is a digital imaging technique that presents the anatomy of the teeth and jaws in three dimensions. Jawbone conditions can be measured to the millimeter. Thus, procedures can be planned safely and precisely. CBCT is very low in radiation due to its special cone beam technology.
Intraoral Scanner
In the past, dental impressions were made using bulky trays filled with impression material. For many patients, this was an extremely unpleasant process, which in some cases even caused a gag reflex.
An intraoral scanner eliminates this process and quickly provides a digital dental impression with the highest precision, which is then used for the fabrication of partial crowns, bruxism splints, or implants. The relevant areas are digitally scanned without contact. The scan is almost always performed in the office; only in exceptional cases do we resort to manual techniques.
To ensure that dental restorations fit perfectly into the dental arch, the highest precision in dental impression is necessary. The data obtained with the intraoral scanner calculates a 3D model that accurately represents all structures. Thus, the dental restoration can be modeled on the monitor. The implementation is then carried out in our dental laboratory.
3D Planning Software
State-of-the-art 3D planning software enables the precise determination of dental restorations. With the software, a virtual model is visible, and we can precisely plan the positioning of your dental restoration. This digital technology allows us to tailor and plan every step perfectly for you. By precisely determining prosthetics, gum, bone density, and nerve pathways, we can achieve optimal aesthetics.
This planning significantly contributes to the safety of the procedure, intraoperative time savings, minimally invasive treatment, and a more relaxed experience for the patient.
State-of-the-Art Dental Laboratory
Our dental laboratory uses 3D printers and hi-tech milling machines of the latest generation. Through close collaboration with our practice, we can guarantee the best possible processes. Equipment from the dental practice and dental laboratory is perfectly coordinated. By being in close proximity, communication pathways are shortened and optimized. This creates the best conditions for the production of your dental restorations.
